Gym review

OK so I joined, I hate it as much as I thought I would, and I'm sure it's not gonna get better.
The point is I'm still going, working out and feel like at least I'm moving!

I went Monday, Tuesday, Friday, and plan on going tomorrow. This is definitely better then sitting on my rear end at home!
(this story is supposedly hilarious because everyone I tell almost pisses their pants! I'm sure it's funnier when I tell it in person!)
Well Monday was my first night I made sure to go late so that no one would be there. I have never been to a gym in my life, so all the machines were very intimating.

So I made myself look around and try to figure the machines out before anyone else came in. I had done Curves years ago and thought this would be a walk in the park... well I was wrong.

There was a bench and it looked like something I had done at Curves, so thinking I was all smart I decided to give it a go. So I lay down on my stomach facing these things that are shaped like Q-Tips, and I put my arms in and do like 30 in a row....
WOW I mean I thought I was gonna love this because it was so EASY!! I was a pro already!!!
Then the door opened up and I had told myself if it was a buff muscle man I was out of there.

Keep in mind I had not even sweated and I was ready to do some treadmill and go home, thinking all those bicep workout I had done was satisfactory.
This woman came in and loved to talk, so I told her I was new and had no idea what I was doing.

She offered to show me her workout and how the machines work...Long story short she takes me to the machine I had already done. In my mind I'm thinking I'll see if she can do 30 in a row like I just did...............So she says " you add weights and sit down put your legs in the puffy things and lift your legs"...........

That's right people, I had done those stupid things laying down, using my arms not legs and WITHOUT ANY WEIGHTS.

I felt so stupid, but I learned and I was gratedfull to this lady. Boys was my face red when I realized I had not workout at all.

So now I make sure to add weights to the machines, and work out much longer! LOL

That is hilarious!!! You were lucky that she helped you and showed you the right way to do things.... I would have been embarassed too if it had been some big buff guy!!

Great job for going so often!
