My big dilemma is nothing weight related....
I need a new car. I have my dad's old car that is 10 yrs old, never maintained. i have been driving it for years and hate it
well now there is something really wrong with it and I don't want to put in money to repair it.
So I am in a good situation money wise to go out and pick a car.
Everybody is giving me opinions and it's stressing me out. So I want more from you guys.
I should start by saying I want a small suv/crossover. No car for me this time. I want what I have always wanted and could never afford.
Please chime in on as many of these questions as you can...
(ask your men if you need to. LOL)1.New vs used?
2.leather seats?? (remember I have a dog)
3. foreign made car vs. north american ?
4. nice colors you like on cars?
5. certain makes and models you can suggest would be great.
This is my first pick so far.. the Nissan Murano, it has been my dream vehicle for years... but it's pricey so I am a little hesitant

The new Hyundai Tuscon is nice but people tell me they are made cheap....

Looks like a great car to me!!
I once bought a Ford Fiesta, everyone told me that it was not a good car...NEVER HAD A DAYS WORTH OF TROUBLE WITH IT...
1st of all I want to tell you CONGRATS on being able to have such a dilemma. I wish I was able to do so.
Next, don't buy new. Get a good used car. That's really all I know. I really am only guessing on that....lol.
Good to hear from you!
i'm looking for the same kind of vehicle:)
i'm not sure about leasing/buying used..although i am leaning towards leasing a used one that still has a warranty left to it
my top three choices:
1. volkswagon tiguan - love it in white and i usually don't like white cars.
love the reviews, have a vw now and it has been very good to me (its a 1995)
2. Honda CRV - small, and must be a good deal since every other small suv (i think they are called crossovers) is a Honday CRV lol
3. The Hyundai Tucson - a bit bulkier than i usually like, but hyundai has come a long way in the last 20 years. Safe, and good.
Dog= leather seats!!
good luck!
LOVE LOVE LOVE the tuscon. We had one before we upgraded to the hyundai veracruz and I had a hard time to switch, the salesmen thought I was weird but I loved it, I highly reecommend it. Never had an issue with it in the 4 years we had it, would go for another one in a second and the new ones are sexier looking.
I swear I posted a commnet for you yesterday. Congrats on this dilemma. Wish I was in a place that I could buy a new car. For now I am biking it.
I learned the hard way not to buy new. It goes down in value the moment you drive it off the lot. Of course that is just my opinoin.
Hopefully you can find a great "something" that you LOVE!!
1. Used. And if you are going to go for used, get the carfax report to make sure it has not been in a flood / major accident. And if you have a mechanic you trust, see if you can get that mechanic to take a hard look before you write the check. It costs money but will potentially save you heartache.
2.Dog = leather.
3. I've always been partial to Japanese cars, but apparently Fords are pretty good quality these days. I'm a Honda / Acura girl myself.
4. Red.
5. Not sure what to tell you here as I have not been paying attention. I'm deliberately trying to be blind to cars right now as I hope to hit at least 150K miles with my current car (I'm at 85K now...)
Can't wait to see what you get!
