bad mood lingering

I have nothing much to say.

-I am miserable lately :(
-I have not bought one single gift for anyone.
-Not looking forward to the holidays... Although I am looking forward to having lots of time off paid!
-I got an ulcer in my eye, which is getting better but I still have to wear my glasses instead of contacts for a bit... BOOO!

Looking forward to this weekend. I have a holiday friend get together. We are all bringing appetizers and party all night.
I need EASY ideas for something to bring.

Happy Friday everyone!

Julie Dear~

I totally understand how you feel. I haven't done most of my shopping. I am going to do a power shop at 5 AM. Walmart here I come.

I was right where you are last year. This year I FORCED myself to put up some decorations and I have forced myself to listen to the all Christmas music radio station. Then I organized a family caroling evening with my kids. I am broke this year, so it's not about the gifts. It's about the memories.

Wishing I could be there to help kick you into the Christmas spirit....lol.

Awww Julie!!

I know that you aren't the only one with the Christmas blues this year, I do hope that your get together cheers you up some.

I have a few standby's for potlucks/parties.

Meatballs & sauce in a crockpot.

Pinwheels - wraps with a nice flavoured cream cheese wrapped up and cut into slices

Rip-n-dip: Go find a package of Knorr vegatable soup mis and pumpernickel bread---the recipe for the actual dip should be on one of those packages or you could google it.

Nacho Dip - layer cream cheese or refried beans with sour cream, salsa, green onion, tomatoe & top with shredded cheese and serve with multigrain nacho chips.

Need any more????

Im feeling BLUE myself...not really sure why. Ok so mainly because I have very few friends and I get down about it sometimes. :(

I love all of the ideas Krista gave you! My mom does a meatball (she makes then but you can buy them pre-made) then makes a sauce with grape jelly, chili sauce and diced onions. Sounds weird but it is the best! YUM!

Make the layered dip!! That's always the big hit!!! Or go the easy route and pick out a couple of nice cheeses from a delit and bring a fresh baguette. Add red pepper jelly if you really want to look fancy. :)

Bah-humbugging is part of the season. Just keep on keeping on girl and it too shall pass.

:)

Simple idea - cream cheese covered with a raspberry/chipolte sauce. Serve with crackers. Easy and yummy.

I hope you feel better soon. I think most of us have a touch of the bah humbug if we are honest. Just acknowledge the feeling and do the best you can.

Hope you had a good holiday get together.

I always feel a bit sad this time of year. Sad and stressed.
